The Prompt
Write a story or poem from the point of view of a museum artifact inside a glass case.
For one hundred and fifty years it sat casting out fault
inside the case in the treasure vault
Once it, the black stone of Morgoth had wandered the plains
causing pain to those who found it, touched it, coveted it.
relishing each curse cast it's way, by both gods and men
But now, it was inside a glass shell
Surrounded by sigils of power that prevented it from wrapping its chains.
around the weak minds of men.
For the once proud stone, this was one step short of hell.
