Feature Friday: Tammy Evans

Tammy L. Evans is a rebel and a conjurer of everyday magic. Her location device is her loud laugh. She is an instructor and the community coordinator for the Sarah Selecky Writing School. Her fiction has been published in Gone Lawn, Cabinets of Heed, Spelk, Five on the Fifth, Clover and White, Fiction Berlin Kitchen, and others.

Tammy’s Prompt

Pull a random tarot card from a deck [or Google HERMIT TAROT CARD and find an image you like]. First, make a list of all the images you notice. Then, write a short list of what those images make you think of. Choose a couple of these pairs to write a story for today.

After writing, reread what you have written aloud and underline the phrases that sparkle for whatever reason.  These can be listed together as the draft of a poem or story! They can also be phrases to start freewriting on another day.
